Psalm 1:2-3
"But his delight is in the law of the LORD: and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper". I looked at a tree today that was by the water. I begin to think about somethings about that tree. God spoke to my heart 3 things.
The tree was CONSISTENT
the tree wasn't going anywhere, it was rooted and grounded, it wasn't wavering VERY STABLE!
The tree was CAREFREE
It wasn't worried about God supplying its needs
The tree was CALM (his leaf also shall not wither)
No matter how bad the storm the tree may blow a little, but for the most part, once again, its not going anywhere. Its not scared of a storm because it is rooted and grounded and it has trust in God!
The tree GROWS (and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper)
You want to know why it grows? It grows because of rain and sunshine. I takes in the water and gathers strength from it. It gathers its fruit in due season because of the growth.
I thought to myself, praise God if a tree can do that, why can't I. The key to all of the points was in verses 2. "But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night." If we keep our eyes on the LORD, his word, and continue in prayer, We will be CONSISTENT, CALM, CAREFREE, and we will GROW.

Amen, amen and amen!! That will preach Sister!! You should share that message with Bro. Jim. I share mine with Bro. Ron. He threatens to preach them..LOL!! I love it when God shows me a truth from His Word. I was ironing clothes this morning and God gave me a post for me to do this next week. I'm so excited that God would even take the time to speak to little ol' me. I'm sure thankful that He does!!
