Hey yall! I promise I am alive! Sorry it has taken a few days to get back to the blog spot. We have had a very busy week. Tuesday my husband preached in Jefferson, GA at a Missions meeting, and then yesterday he got really sick, so he had to go to the doctor. He's feeling a little better, please keep him in your prayers.
Also, I have a friend named Karen who is asking everyone to pray for her sister Annette, she has cancer. So when you pray please pray for Annette. "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek and ye shall find: knock, and it shall be opened unto you:" Matthew 7:7 I thank God for his promises! You know what breaks my heart, it is the fact that we take burdens on our hearts that we don't have too. We've heard the song "What a Friend We have in Jesus" so many times, but have not listened to the words. "What a friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and grief's to bear, what a priviledge to carry everything to God in prayer. O what peace we often forfeit, o what needless pain we bear, all because we do not carry, everything to God in prayer." How often do we struggle with things in our lives when all we have to do is "Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: casting all your care upon him: for he careth for you." I Peter 5:6 & 7 I've often learned that the part I'm not willing to do is HUMBLE MYSELF! That means I have to realize I'm nothing and he's everything! If we could realize how closer we could be to God, if we would just let PRIDE down! God said in Proverbs, that there are six things that the Lord hates and one of them is a proudful look. God help us to realize we are NOTHING! Once we realize this, then the LORD can exalt us in due time. Have a wonderful day! REMEMBER, "..o what needless pain we bear, all because we do not carry everything to God in prayer..."

I'm so glad I finally found you. I've been checking your other page only to find you hadn't put anything on it. I'm glad I found you now though. This is a good post too!! We do take things upon ourselves and we let them consume us and overtake us. God commands us to cast all our care upon Him. Sad thing is we say we do but we really don't and if we're not careful our burdens will destroy us instead of help us. I love you!!

I will be praying for Bro Jim and his health. I am the youth leader at Eagles View. You are so right so many times we bring things on ourself because we will not humble ourselves. The problem with most Christians is they haven't come to the point their life where they are nothing and he is everything. Very Good Post hope other read it and take it to heart. God Bless.
Bro Tim
