WALKING BY FAITH

Today began my adventure of homeschooling 2 girls. Of course, my youngest daughter was right there with them. It went really well. I'm going to have to get used to the new schedule. I'm trying to get my life organized and become more disciplined. Of course, as yall all know that's not always easy. It seems in our lives that we get set in a pattern and don't want to change it because it makes us feel uncomfortable. I remember when my husband went full time at the church. He told me God said to do it now or he'll never do it! So, with only a few people at church and 5 people in our family, I surrendered to the will of God. Of course, my husband was already surrendered and I was going to follow him, but I wanted to have the right attitude about it. To be honest, I was very scared. We have always lived by faith concerning our finances because I have been a stay at home mom. When I was praying one day, God spoke to my heart and said, "Do you want a new dress or do you want someone to go to hell because your husband is tied up in his job." God showed me that I was being very selfish. When I finally surrendered my will to the Lord's, that night my husband and I were talking and the spirit of God showed up so real in our room that I felt like the LORD was standing right in front of me. Sometimes we get like Peter did when he got off the ship. We get our eyes off the Lord and we began to "sink". If we could just keep our eyes on the Lord and off our circumstances we can "walk on the water". The Lord can do things in our lives that we never could imagine. THE KEY IS WALKING BY FAITH NOT BY SIGHT!!! love yall..HAVE A BLESSED AND FAITH WALKING DAY...

Very good thought. I would hope that would be my prayer also to walk by faith and not by sight.
