Take off a Load

Hello! Hope things are going well with everyone. I just wanted to update all of yall and let ya know how the revival is going. It has been a blessing!!! Bro. Ballew has preached two tremendous messages the past two nights. We had two great services. It seems like our people are really getting a lot of help (me too).
I do want to tell you something about GOD put on my heart the other day. I bent over to pick up my laundry basket (it was very heavy) and began to carry it. Little by little my back begin to hurt, I started struggling to move, it slowed me down. I could only carry it a little while and my strength would fail me. THE HOLY GHOST slowed me down and spoke to my heart. This is what often times happens when we get burdens in our lives and WE try to carry it without taking it to the Lord.
IT SLOWS US DOWN (we are not able to run the race of this Christian life)
IT WEIGHS US DOWN (we are not able to function like we ought to because it consumes our life)
WE TRY TO DO IT WITH OUR OWN STRENGTH
I couldn't carry the basket without taking a load out of it. When I did, I was able to do the job that I had intended to do. We shouldn't take our burdens on ourselves , we should take it to the burden bearer. When we do, we can do the jobs God has planned for us to do without the load of burdens. "Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you." I Peter 5:7
Don't let a load get you down!

Amen Sis!! This is so true. When we went through what we went through with Ronnie it liked to have consumed me. I did struggle with it for a time. But God finally showed me that I wasn't putting him in God's hands. I thought I had. I'm so thankful that we have the Holy Spirit to help us to know what we are doing wrong and what we aren't doing that is right. God helped me through that time in my life and now He has sent him a godly girl and she will be my daughter-in-law. I can't wait!! I pray that I will put situations (such as one we're facing right now) in His hands and leave it there. I've got to learn to trust my Lord more. I think I do until something happens and then I find that I don't trust Him like I should. Please pray for me! Thanks Sis!!

Great Post Sis Jenni!!! I think we all find ourselves trying to carry our own burdens sometimes, instead of giving them to the Lord. I've had several in my own life lately, that I had a hard time giving to the Lord. (The things that I wrote you about a couple of weeks ago.) I'm just trusting the Lord, and praying that He will work in the situation!! I know that He will supply our needs according to His riches!!! Praise the Lord for that!! Thanks for this Post, it was a huge encouragement!! Love you!!
